what about
Online Christ-Centered Counseling is an outreach of CrossLife Ministries, a donation based non-profit organization. We do not charge a set fee for counseling services. For our clients we suggest a minimum donation of $95 per session (average costs of counseling services across the United States range from $95 - $150 per 50 minute session); however, we do not want this suggested donation to be a financial hardship for anyone and ask that each client pray about the amount God would have them donate in support of the ministry.
Online Christ-Centered Counseling/CrossLife does not accept insurance for your benefit, your privacy, and to legally maintain the integrity of a Christ-Centered Biblical counseling model. Insurance companies require diagnostic codes that become part of your permanent health records. Our approach to counseling allows us to support you in protecting your privacy so you are free to get the support you need without the limitations of the healthcare system. For some clients donations may be able to be made via a HSA or FSA, but that is at the discretion of your HSA/FSA provider.
The costs of materials and/or testing are separate from any counseling received at a fixed cost:
Pre-marital assessment - $35
Temperament assessment - $50

ARE Your COUNSELORS LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS?
Our counselors have formal professional training and experience that exceeds all standards of licensing boards. Our counselors actually have extensive training and experience in both counseling and theology. Even with the training and experience, our counselors have chosen not to participate in state licensure citing the desire to offer counsel as ministry and to keep an environment that is Christ-Centered. The biblical perspective of counsel offers hope and healing beyond the limits of self and circumstances. Our counselors are members in good standing with the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). WHAT IS Christ-Centered COUNSELING? HOW IS this DIFFERENT FROM OTHER COUNSELING?
Christ-Centered counseling simply stated is a gracious, biblically rooted and executed approach to counseling. The Bible presents to us a worldview that offers hope, true healing, and freedom. We counsel from the perspective that there are answers to the difficulties and pains that we face in this world, and that those answers are found in the gracious truth and love demonstrated and embodied by Jesus Christ. We also approach counseling as Jesus approached relationships…He walked with people graciously, speaking truthfully, and inviting people to a depth of life beyond painful circumstances. The majority of the counseling field operates on psychological theories that are deeply rooted in Naturalistic philosophy, or simply put, humanistic theories. While God has created humanity with amazing abilities, the answers to life are not found inside ourselves; if they were, why would anyone find themselves in a need for counsel? We are different in that while we can acknowledge some of the great work behind theories, we know that full healing and freedom are not found in self, but rather in the one who designed life. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. - Colossians 2:8 (NASB) WHAT ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY?
The privacy and confidentiality of our conversations and records are a privilege of yours and are protected by our ethical principles in all but a few circumstances. Those exceptions are limited to the following: known or suspected child or elder abuse; the intent to take criminal actions against another person; active suicidal ideations; and, counseling that is mandated by a legal authority, then it is assumed by your signature that you agree that your counselor may give/receive updates and opinions and share information for the purpose of professional continuity. If another party is making a donation on your behalf, we will communicate necessary appointment information to facilitate that service; however, counseling conversations and records will not be disclosed without an additional signed release from you. Your counselor reserves the right to consult with other counselors at CrossLife Ministries (parent organization of Online Christ-Centered Counseling) for the purpose of providing the highest level of care. A special note about online confidentiality... please remember that online portals of communication are not able to guarantee complete confidentiality of information exchanged. Sessions are 50-55 minutes per session. If longer/shorter sessions are necessary, that will be an option discussed with your counselor. HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL IT TAKE/HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME?
The number of sessions needed to address your presenting issue will be determined in conjunction with your counselor. Unlike some counseling offices, Online Christ-Centered Counseling/CrossLife does not accept insurance payments, and is free of the constraints of minimum and maximum limits on the number of sessions. This allows us to serve you with a frequency and longevity that is customizable and beneficial to you. CAN your COUNSELORS DIAGNOSE OR PRESCRIBE MEDICINE?

First, we understand! Our ministry has been offering Christ-Centered biblical counsel for 30 years (and still counting), and we hear about people's past negative counseling experiences as they settle in with us. To keep it simple, there are multiple methods of counseling referred to as biblical counseling just as there are multiple methods of secular based counseling models. When a method is used that does not fit the situation or person, that is when negative impressions are left. We seek to meet you where you are and graciously walk with you keeping an open ear to your experience as counselor and client journey together. We seek to approach you the way Jesus would...hence, Christ-Centered Counseling! What denomination does your organization belong to?
Online Christ-Centered Counseling is an outreach of CrossLife Ministries. CrossLife operates as a non-denominational ministry that holds to the historic Christian faith. Our counselors are experienced and well versed in multiple protestant and Catholic traditions. We see clients from every denomination and those that may still be seeking faith. |
